Cianna Valley produced numerous dioramas modeled on classic dollhouses for her Peephole Gallery installation. Rather than emphasize the contents of each miniature room and the overall structures they comprise, Valley draws our attention to the psychic energy that is embodied in such spaces. Valley considers physical space as it lives – always imperfectly - in memory or fantasy.

Cianna Valley is a printmaker and installation artist based in Oakland, California. She has been awarded the Hamaguchi Emerging Artist in Residence Award from Kala Art Institute and the Washington Printmaker's Gallery National Small Works Exhibition Grand Prize. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Portugal, and Japan. Valley earned her BFA in printmaking from California College of the Arts in 2011.
