Exhibition Text

Haegen Crosby is an Oakland-based artist working in sculpture, photography, video and performance examining objects of the ‘banal’. Returning from four months abroad in Mexico City, long axis rotation (Pψ) draws upon Crosby’s personal investigations of the street, emblematic objects and autoconstructive culture. Through recontextualizing these every day objects Crosby identifies new interpretations and qualities within their raw and practical properties.
