Alter Space presents 'To speak of trees', a three-person exhibition with Alexandria Tarver, Lily Ludlow, and Woody Othello. This intimate exhibition marks the gallery's first at Minnesota Street Project.

Alexandria Tarver (b. 1989) received a BFA from New York University in 2011. Recently her work has been exhibited at Deli Gallery, NY (2016), Danziger Gallery, NY (2016), No. 4 Studio in Brooklyn (2015), Alter Space in San Francisco (2015), Oceans Eleven curated by Billy Sullivan (2015), Violet’s Café in Brooklyn (2015) and Material Art Fair, Mexico City (2016). Tarver also organized group shows Sentimental at Fitness Center for the Arts & Tactics in Brooklyn (2013) and #1 at The Ho_se in Brooklyn (2013). Tarver lives and works in New York City.

Lily Ludlow (b 1970) has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at CANADA (NY), Shane Campbell Gallery (Chicago), and Hauser & Wirth (NY). She has been featured in numerous articles such as 'Art in Review; Devendra Banhart, Lily Ludlow, Elena Pankova' written by Holland Cotter for New York Times in 2004 and ‘Lily Ludlow: Interviews’ by Phil Grauer in The Journal. Ludlow also exhibits under the moniker Somnus, a fashion duo started with Marcella Mullins around 2005. She lives and works in Portchester, NY.

Woody Othello (b. 1991) is a current MFA candidate at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. He was awarded a Pentaculum Residency at the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in 2015 and was a resident at the Armory Arts Center in 2014. Recent exhibitions include Quality Gallery (Oakland), UFO Gallery, (Berkeley), and Old New England (Berkeley). Othello lives in Berkeley, California.
